Mod Sunday with the Great Gatsby!

(On Queen: Nana sound (Korea) Dress, Esperanza heels with socks)

Dress perfect for a day of eating. It's a whole day of eating, not meals, because whenever you're with family there is no schedule for having a snack. Now, who wouldn't want to spend time with family with that in store? On second thought, if you're trying to lose weight or watching your figure spending time with your family everyday might not be such a good idea Haha Kidding.

I should really try to incorporate food reviews into this blog since we always try new restaurants. It's just that I find blogging about food hard. What's so hard about blogging about food, you say? Well, I don't usually take photos of my food so that's one. Two, stopping everyone including myself from digging in immediately once the plate hits the table is HARD! The mere self control and pressure of getting a good first shot of the food is enough reason to not blog about food. Hahaha. I can already hear  my sisters side commenting already ("Faster!" "*sniggers* Yuck taking photos of food" "Come on, picture picture ka pa eh " etc. lol) and of course the \ / eyebrow you'll get from them lol.

Anyway today I wil be doing something a little different from the usual. A movie review!!!!!! As far as  my memory can remember, the usual family bonding we do is movie marathons+food trips at our usual mall. Back to I was saying, Today we randomly picked out a movie well there's really not much to choose from since cinemas still feature ironman so with not much selections we chose the great gatsby with no expectations whatsoever. WHICH by the way I think is the best possible attitude you could have when doing things. Of course, it's not something you can actually control, just saying I find watching films with no expectations at all makes the movie better. So if you're reading this now, I'm ruining my whole point of the no-expectation-in-watching-movies point. lol

I first guessed the setting of the film to be in the twenties solely because of the clothes women were wearing. Have I told you I love watching old classy films preferably sad or love stories with sad songs, go figure! haha With flapper dress with sequins/glitters/silk/lace, Antique cloche hats, dress-fringe, finger wave-like hair, charleston dress, Knife pleat dress, Tea gowns, Head bands with feather attached, pearls and all that glitter. For some reason, I found favor in the movie more than it deserves I guess. So this review might not be so credible now hahaha anyhow, one thing you'll also gain from watching this movie is the sudden infatuation for New York. It's amazing! Personally, I don't find anything special with the states in general but after seeing this film, I wanted to go there myself but with the same setting of the film so that's no longer possible now obviously.
You will actually find the film a tiny bit dragging at first when you're not at all familiar with the book so I urge you to force yourself to listen and watch even if you don't get what's going on.
Another comment though is the acting of Mr. Leonardo Di Caprio, I don't know if it's intentional but it didn't give off the natural vibe of acting, it seemed kinda amateur fake. Aside from that, No complaints.

How is it that I manage to hate the protagonist's lady love in films?? In my defense, This girl is very self-absorbed and shallow who proved herself to be so when she was only there in good times. See how affected I am with films?? hahahaha

I rate this movie a 7.5/10.

P.S. I loved the OST! Especially the Young and beautiful by Lana Del Rey. I will be listening to this song for about a week on repeat hahaha!

ANYWAY, here's some awful quality of a picture of my outfit. -_-

Wedding schmedding

Title with a made up word. LOL
(On Queen: Miss Selfridge dress, Trunk show glitter mary jane pumps)

Normally, I wouldn't be caught wearing a dress this revealing (Yes, this is already considered too revealing for me lame as it is) but since I bought it already might as well wear it, an excuse to buy more. As the title stated, I obviously wore this to a wedding (seeing as my background is a church), my aunt's wedding to be specific.

Don't you just love attending weddings? well personally, I love weddings! (except for the hot churches though, I can never sit still when its hot inside a chapel that is why I would never subject my future guests to endure this torture of sitting in wooden pews with the back of their legs sweating up and eventually getting sticky because of the lack of airconditioning and the added humidity in this tropical country. I see myself getting married somewhere in a nice big museum or a library haha) [back to what I was saying,] more so if it's a person I know who's getting married especially if I'm close to that person. I love the whole feel of it, kinda makes you want to get married yourself OR get married TO yourself. Lol!

An attempt of twirling the sheer part of the dress hahaha

HAHAHA my fake hair commercial.
Hair commercial material. Thanks to the sudden crazy burst of wind!

Layers

Sooo....Where to begin?
It's been 3 weeks since I last blogged, I think? But this time it's not because I was too lazy to post pictures and blog about it. For the past few weeks,  a lot has happened and we're going through something unexpected that is somehow in a way expected. Not sure if I'm making sense here.
So this "event" kinda canceled all my/our(family) plans for the month of May. So have to think of something worthwhile to do to pass the time till well.. School? *dread dread dread*.

Honestly, my "fashion sense" has been very off lately. It seems like I'm never gonna have enough clothes or if I buy new ones that seemed like "I have to have them when I was still inside the store contemplating if I should buy it or not/ whether it would be useful or not but end up buying it" will end up lost inside my perpetual war zone of a closet so eventually I forget about it and so the vicious cycle of buying clothes continues.

Anyway, one of the worthwhile things I will be doing is to post as much entry as possible:D

On Queen: ( Seduction white ruffled top, F21 off white sheer sleeveless collared top and skirt( from previous post "Peachy Prim", Tutu Anna pink socks,  Oxford Shoes from Korea.)
Invicta watch, rings from Korea.

And oh yeah, back to mobile pictures for now. but this time not an iPhone4s, ha! Exchanged it for a samsung note 2. HAHA loving the big screen btw.

Another OH YEAH! I cut my hair shorter/chopped my curls off, hence the straight hair. My sisters and I have naturally straight hair so whenever I cut the curls off people assume that I had it straightened or something. Goodbye tangles! But I do miss not having to brush my hair and fixing it before  I leave the house. oh well, you can't have everything.

8 shades of blue

Yummy colors huh! It's weird how the color combination reminds me of Alice in the wonderland+ Candy land with only pastel colors.:))
The Summer heat is on! Time to pack away my dark colored clothes and bring out the bright colored ones! Looks like April will be the only time I can wear flimsy skirts and sleeveless tops since my family and I will be going on an Alaskan cruise->Canada->Japan for May-June. ;_; HUHU Hate super cold weather hopefully my body can somehow adjust to the sudden climate change since I had a little practice from our trip (Korea) last February 2013.

On Queenzyleen: (Headband and Socks from F21, Mint/Sky blue/Coral colored top from Jaspal, Mint colored skirt from Harajuku, Japan, Heels from Sugarfree by Mayo Wo )

Powder blue tassles :()

Easter Sunday

A day late. I know:D
I don't know about you but when I hear the word "Easter", I immediately think of cute pastel colored things, specifically eggs and bunny ears. But of course, Easter sunday is not about bunnies hiding eggs for you to find, it's just something they used to teach children the concept of JC dying on the cross and resurrecting again after 3 days. Hence the color combination of what I'm wearing now. Red. Black. White.

At first glance, I look like I'm wearing a black dress that's the nice thing about fitted cropped top, you can make it look like you're wearing a dress. Sometimes, there are these bottoms that are so "alanganin" in length that you don't know what to wear on top. So buying this top is perfect! Especially if you have a nice body e.g. hot abs :)) (Wishful thinking here)

I got the top and skirt from Forever 21 on one of my random impulse buys. Got the oversized blazer from zoo and sneakers from Cotton on. You can opt not to wear the blazer if you feel confident showing of your body, like I said it would look even better if you have a nice one. This is as close as I can get to revealing some skin:)) I don't think I can go out without the blazer  --> My shy conservative nature won't permit to do so.  Plus I don't think it's very church appropriate anyway if I leave out the blazer. Good thing I take my pictures inside my room now, So liberating to take my own photos now. More poses, more pictures to choose from. More problems too--> Taking me a longer time*(longer than the usual) to post an entry cause of the photos that need to be cut down and edited. Pain in the a** now by the way. Haha

Holy week was sorta boring. How did it come to a point that staying inside the house for more than a day  feels like being imprisoned for a month. Do you know the feeling of black outs and everyone's forced to entertain each other since you're all stuck inside the house? Well, that's how it felt like the whole time. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with my crazy family! I just hate the monotony of our routine: Literally, Eat, sleep, Tv and Exercise. Every single day! (Some would say,at least may exercise?)Maybe I'm just not used to staying inside the house the whole day. It has only been a week or so since school ended.

Coat on again:

I'm always wearing this watch. This or the Marc Jacobs one=sucks btw. I don't really wear a lot of accessories but watches are a must.

Sorry. It's just so hard to choose. I had to choose like 5 from my 79 photos. @_@ maybe soon, I will learn the art of cut throat system. Just choose one! (indecisiveness at play) Probably if I'm sick of taking a multitude of pictures. Maybe.
Also, You may have noticed the different lighting/color of the pictures. hahaha! that's the product of laziness. Some edited, some aren't. HEHE
Anyway, Thanks for scrolling down! Happy Easter everyone!

PS: Thinking of painting my room white--> At least this side of the wall for picture purposes. What do you think?

Peachy Prim

Say bye to Iphone Camera photos! (Well, not totally :D) and hello to more SLR pictures. Thanks TLK for setting it up and teaching me hihi.
My first time to actually shoot myself using a SLR and doing it on Pmode. @_@ I can't tell if a photo is good/good enough or not. Nevertheless, I'm seriously enjoying this! The only con is the 2 added steps! (Importing and editing) My indecisiveness will not help me in the editing part!

I apologize in advance for the multiple self shots. I enjoyed taking my own photos too much. Kinda got carried away with the remote:)) FYI, I already cut like 90%! :))

The sequinned collared top from Korea, Peach skirt with silhouette from Forever 21, White socks with pink ribbons from Japan, Shoes from F21 Japan. Felt like dressing girly that day and so I did. :)

Sock mode :))
